tried to get on earlier today and got the login and it asked for a pass key and would not let me type in my email or password. opened another session and it worked and let me type in.
4 or so hours later I try again and get text in the 50 font range and again asking for passkey so can someone look into this as I enjoyed the old site, this so far is a little annoying and hope its just growing pains with a new site.
I am using Microsoft Edge as at work so unknown what they have installed.
yep that is exactly what I am seeing, also takes like a few minutes to do it’s circles rotating around bit which makes it seem like it’s taking longer.
The loading was much slower for me in the Private browsing window as well. I’ve posted over on the Discourse support site. Hopefully they can tell me what’s going on and how to fix it.
Discourse support pointed me to an article about setting up Discourse with Cloudfare ( which CADmunity is using). I’ll try tomorrow to compare the settings in the article with how I have it set up to see if there are any differences.
Frank Oostendorp reached out to me with a similar issue this morning, I haven’t heard back from him but when it did to me yesterday, it took a few minutes and then was back to normal.
The most likely reason it seems to be random is that each browser on each device starts caching content (at Cloudfare’s request) after the same content has been served a number of times. Once the caching starts, the problems start. I suspect that if I didn’t make the settings tweak I made this morning, everyone would eventually have the problem.
The downside of tweaking the setting is that the DNS records have changed and if your company firewall had started to trust the old record, it may not trust the new one for a while.
Well I cannot login in on my work computer as I get a orange box warning saying text input not allowed so kind of makes this site useless at this point.
I got on the site through my phone but not sure how long that will last.
I can understand security but it’s cad questions not national security stuff.
Hopefully you can get the bugs out as spent several times yesterday to no access.
