What is up with paskey?

There is no way from here to determine why the site is blocked by your AV/firewall. You can try (or have your IT group) go here:

Enter the CADmunity URL https://forum.cadmunity.com and see if it lists a reason for the block.

The CADmunity domain is very new and some AV/firewall are blocking it because it hasn’t existed long enough.

same here from my corporate network. unable to login.

Same where I work. Zscaler says the site is new and will be blocked.

From https://help.zscaler.com/zia/about-dns-control:

“Zscaler classifies newly registered domains as “Newly Registered and Observed Domains” (NROD) for approximately 30 days. This categorization is a temporary hold, as Zscaler’s systems analyze these domains for potential malicious activity or a proper categorization. After this period, if the domain hasn’t been identified as malicious or categorized, it should be removed from the NROD list.”

The cadmunity.com domain was registered on April 7, so the 30-day window was up yesterday. Hopefully the blocks will expire, but I worry that the site not being very crawlable (since it is currently viewable only by registered users) might cause it to still be flagged/blocked.

Most antivirus/firewalls block new domains for 30 days is what I was told by our IT guy.

The passkey vs password thing was confusing. I did the passkey, then first thing after getting logged on I tried to set my password. I couldn’t find a way to do that in my account settings and didn’t see anything about setting a password in the guide. I then tried “forgot my password” and got no result, or at least thought I didn’t until I dug in my email junk folder (somehow I didn’t think of that first, though half the world’s problems are emails going to the junk folder).

Anyway, I have it working now and am very glad to finally get here. Would be good to mention how to set a password in the guide.

Thanks

Dwight

Hi all,

Finally got in at work, only bummer got my walking papers so may not be on for a while until I land the next gig. Either way glad you restarted a decent forum even with its growing pains.

Regards,
Jim

Best of luck finding your next gig!
