What are you Printing?

One of the first prints I made - with my old Anet A8 - Was a foot bar for our corner cabinet in the kitchen. When I built out our kitchen 10 years ago (I made all the cabinets myself as well as all the other renovation work  ) I was going to machine/fabricate a custom pull for the corner cabinet, where we keep the trash can. I never got around to making anything from metal; Instead my wife & I would just pull the cabinet open from below, using the foot. This went on for years while I castigated myself for not making a nice metal pull. But then it occurred to me that it is way easier to open the trash with a foot! So one of the first prints I made was to make a custom “foot pull” for the cabinet. Pictured here is maybe the 3rd generation…

last thing I printed was a Star Wars chess set. What a pain it was to print all those pieces. Set it up to run a 28 hour print as things were going well and as the printer was getting closer to the end of the prints it started to make more sounds and someone thought that was not good and turned it off. Estimate was that there was only about an hour or 2 left to finish it and the way it was shut down there was no recovery option.

David Matula,
Cura has a print one piece at a time setting. I’ve had your similar problem before and since I discovered that, I always use that setting for large prints of items.
A guy over on youtube has a bunch of great tips like that. His channel is CHEP https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsdc_0ZTXikARFEn2dRDJhg

What a huge pain. I think my Prusa has a recover option where it will start where it left off if power is disconnected etc. Luckily I’ve never had to use it though.

For some reason I can’t see pictures of any of the cool stuff you guys are printing.

So here’s one of my prints, maybe I’ll learn something about posting and viewing pictures here.

Forum had a crash and lost photos.
Fixed.

Was going to post some pictures but can’t figure this out on my phone.

That is how we replace entire aircraft interiors, we must take the old cover, leather, carpet, ect and replace with materials that meet or exceed currrent config.

Good one tho, not a lot of aerospace guys here.
