There’s a current thread with the title in ALL CAPS. Discourse has some neat features around various levels of admin type permissions. It looks like I have permission to edit the title of a thread. I’m tempted to do so, but I recognize I might be the only person that’s bothered by trivial things like this and don’t want to cause problems.
In general, would @JimSculley like users with sufficient rank to just take care of little stuff like this or am I just being a male “Karen”?
It’s based on Trust Levels. The longer you are here and the more you participate, the more things you can do. Post title editing ability comes with Trust Level 3 (Regulars). You can also move posts to other categories, among other things.
I have no problem with people pitching in. “Many hands make light work” and all that.
If there’s something that needs doing that you don’t have the ability to do, you can always post about it here or send me a message and I can do it, provided I’m not knee deep in my regular job.
Having said all that, I also have no problem with revoking such abilities if they are abused.

Well… I’ve been around a while so I was curious why I’m not a regular. Looks like it’s because my heart is filled with hate, cynicism, and sarcasm instead of love…
Dang guys the all caps with drafters and those that do drawings is not yelling it is being lazy not hitting the caps lock to come in and type something really quick and then go back to the drawing. Even though SolidWorks added an all caps option to the notes and dims in drawings it does not work well. If this was another group that did not include guys doing drawings and adding notes to dimensions in the models I would maybe take all caps as yelling. Old Habits die hard and the all caps is just getting in to big of a hurry. then what notice after the post is finished or change it or Post it?
It’s because people like me can’t type properly and look at the keyboard… Then look up and notice that caps lock was on. Luckily you can copy the text to Word and convert to proper case easy enough. Sounds like an actual useful case for AI though.
