What browser? Firefox. Why? Because IT said so.
Chrome on my desktop and Firefox on my phone. I switched to Chrome from Internet Explorer because Pandora quit working on Explorer. I’ve always used Firefox on my phones. I’m not sure why.
I’ve used Firefox for years along with Thunderbird for email. But due to my experience here I’ve switched to Chrome. I’m really against the monopolistic behavior of Google, but Chrome works.
Firefox / Thunderbird! Why: Cause Firefox is good and needs support; cause Tbird is free and good
DuckDuckGo on my phone; cause its not google.
I use Chrome - but there is a good one I used to use years ago, www.dogpile.com
So to explain my answer:
I normally use Chrome at home. However, at work, all things google are not allowed (except for the actual search engine). So at work, I used Edge for a long time until a training class that I had to take wouldn’t work with Edge…so IT installed Firefox. So now I use Firefox at work…
However, Smartsheet doesn’t play well with firefox…so I still use Edge for when I am accessing Smartsheet.
I had identical situation as yours , but i stopped with using chrome at home , because i really liked new edge , and it is working fine for me.
DuckDuckGo, cause I don’t need google tracking everything I do… But at work there are a number of sites I use that don’t play nice with DuckDuckGo so it’s just easier to use chrome at work.
DuckDuckGo has a browser? I thought it was just a search engine.
Someone suggested Edge Dev a while back in a forum, I don’t recall if it was Solidworks, Solid Edge, or something else but it was a technical forum. I was surprised at the suggestion as edge was a joke at the time, but I trusted the person who suggested it enough to try it out. This was when edge was new and about as much good as 3DSWYM, but they (Microsoft) were at work rebuilding it, this time on a foundation called Chromium (not to be confused with Chrome).
I like it.
jcapriotti DuckDuckGo does have an iOS browser for mobile devices - which I use. Don’t think it (yet) has a windows app.
The newest Edge is supposed to be pretty good - can put the tabs on the side which is cool.
I have 6 or 7 browsers loaded on my machines.
My favorite is Brave.
Try it and it will be your favorite as well. Fast, clean handles any page. never locks up. I’m told better protection as well.
I like it’s minimalist look and feel. Cool Logo too.
I used FireFox and T-bird for years when I was in business and at home. They worked and didn’t cost anything.
Since I’ve been working for other people it’s been almost entirely chrome.
I still have Firefox at home but tend to use Chrome anyway because once you start using something you don’t want to be switching back and forth…it just gets confusing.
Brave on win 7 and newer. MyPal on XP machines.
I used Firefox for years, but lately it’s been a resource hog and hanging too much.
I avoid all things google [chrome is a google product] as much as possible.
Firefox first and Vivaldi secondary. Looking at Vivaldi as a secondary as it seems really nice UI and feature wise and they seem to listen to the users a lot more then the behemoths. Avoid Chrome because Google are one of such behemoths that now give with one hand and pretend not to take with the other.
“Opera” - it’s fast, it’s easy to set favs, it has built in privacy options.
“Vivaldi” is also fast and simple.
“Brave” … this, imho,.. is the future.
(btw,.. “Maxthon” was my fav years ago (PC/Android)… hmm.. will need to test again)
