I could have sworn we had MMGS before 2025, is it possible to make a custom units system?
I’m practicing on TooTallTobys practice drawings and its hurdles jumping from setting to setting to try and get the correct mass as mm is not in the same group as kg.
I don’t usually use anything other than IPS and MMKS except for the practice models.
I created custom materials and set the mass, this was modeled in ansi metric with mm dimensions but in order to get the mass in grams i had to go and change the units from MMKS to CGS to get the mass to display the correct unit of measure.
It existed in 2023
See if adjusting the window size makes it show up, I’ve seen so many little issues like that on their platform, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens in the program.
It’s the same in 2022. You can override the Mass unit though, it even highlights that its overridden from the standard units. Strangely SolidWorks has the MMGS as a default. It also has a “Custom” category where as Solid Edge just allows you to override.

Thank you jcapriotti, however, for TTT’s models, we wont know the units until we open the drawing, then having to click to settings and make the changes adds several steps and adds time. Sometimes the drawings specifiy G other times KG.
I know this is a unique case, but it sure would be nice to have MMGS as well as a group/option.
I played in SW and its there, just wish SE had it as well.
