In the last few years there was some Turkish VAR employees up voting a bunch of MBD stuff and other outlier stuff few use. IMO, MDB will not gain traction as long as they keep charging for it. MBD was meant to replace drawings however drawing functions are free and MBD is not.
mbd is a possibility (a luxury imho) for certain industries. for machinery builders and steel workers doing weldings a piece of paper or a 2d drawing is the quickest way to convey the needed information.
mbd license capabilities are interesting, not the money they want us to pay for a software that already causes our engineering costs to skyrocket.
Model Dased Befinition? 
I am accessing this site and the 3dexperience from my Android smartphone and while this forum is usable and I get minor annoyance due to the touch keyboard mainly, the platform my company pays a lot of money for is a utter pain, even with the official android app… I tried to post an enhancement idea for the top 10 ideas and I gave up after scrolling pages of explainations about supported browsers and their setup for something that should be accessible with a simple template form. it is utterly overcomplex to post there.
I even got access, as admin, to a support page which I have no idea what it is for, as it still lists some of our company employees that were involved (no more now) with solidworks… with old email addresses etc in their “profile”
funny thing us that some members have their data written in english, some in japanese, but you must switch the language to edit their profiles as mixing input in both languages is not allowed.
the page is “dsx.customer care and order”
I even got a email notice (automatic??) fom a person I do not know (probably a ds employee?) that my solidworks admin account was disable then re-enabled again??
same for two colleagues I added to our admin list a long time ago.
The chaos reigns on that platform.

I would argue that the madness is from the people who continue to visit their “platform” and expect it to be something it isn’t.
Indeed. If you want a previously sent idea to have a chance to be featured in the top 10, you need to create a new idea in the top10 and link the previously posted idea. Brilliant concept.
I’m amazed these have both been pushed forward in to “Gathering Support” rather than being binned off as “not being to do with software features”. I’ll be further amazed if they don’t get binned off by the time of voting.
They’re currently #1 and #2. Let’s keep it up 
They might be a little more careful at throwing them in the bin because I submitted them.
I wanted to submit something like " do not activate by default new options and software features that potentially modify legacy workflows" .
I think it was already sumitted or at least I saw it somewhere, probably sinked at the bottom of the swamp.
It was submitted in the SolidWorks Enhancement community I believe a little while ago. You could post it and then link it here and we could vote on it, I could post it for you if you think it will bring more attention to it.

If you’re thinking the vote numbers are low, you’re right - first place got 93 votes last year. Which is still pretty pathetic given the size of the userbase.
For reference if the Enhancement Request community was used, highest voted idea is on 69 votes (and doesn’t feature in the TTL exercise).
The vote counts aren’t even good.
For instance:
Use the SolidWorks Enhancement Ideas Community for the purpose of the Top10 - 35 = 39 actually
Give us a vote down - 31 = 30 actually
Multiple Windows in One session - 19 = 18 actually
I pointed it out to them and they told me it’s working fine and that I should wait until their next update to see if the issue is resolved, even though my picture showed to them that I had 39 likes on the Enhancement ideas one when you can only count 35 when viewing who liked.

Too much faith in your notification pane.
Your notifications will double count anyone who likes, then unlikes, then re-likes the idea. You also won’t get told if someone unlikes. So the likes on the post are the most reliable indicator.

The final tally for ONE and TWO a few years ago was something over 300 for each. The third on that list was barely above half at ~160. Ah, but we are now in the times of enlightenment with the 3DSwamp. ><
I wonder at what point they’ll put the whole exercise out of its misery and abandon it. So much admin time for so little gain. They can even pretend they’re listening to users by just using the ER community instead from next year!
The fact that Electrical and MBD were pushed to the top within a few days exemplify the need for a vote down button.
