I am attempting to edit the direction of a hatch in a section view. No matter what I do, including deleting the hatch, SW crashes. Has anyone else seen this?
I have seen SW crash in a wide variety of situations, but not that one.
- Does it happen on multiple Drawings, or just this one?
- If it’s just this one file, and it just happened, have you tried re-booting your computer? That will often fix odd issues.
Glenn:
- Only on this drawing, only this view.
- Re-boot didn’t fix this one.
Open SW RX (by typing “rx” in your start menu) and open in both of the safe modes and see what that does.
Try copying and pasting the view and see if the same problem happens with the new one.
I tried copy and paste the view - still crashed when attempting to edit hatch. Ran out of time and had to submit the drawing as-is. I might take another look later when i have some time.
Jonathan, I believe that issue is caused by a hatch type that you do not have. I’ve seen it occur before but it never occured frequently enought to pinpoint what was the cause. That’s my guess though, because some users here have their Windows in French and some have it in english and because of that it causes issues with Toolbox for instance.
Excuse me for being late to the party, I had a busy schedule last friday.
Alex, interesting idea. I will investigate further when I get a chance.
