Solidworks PDM Setup

I am trying to setup Solidworks and PDM on a new computer. I’ve either forgotten a step, or I’ve managed to screw things up somehow.

As part of this process, I also upgraded the PDM server et al from 2024 to 2025.

I thought everything was going to plan. I was able to crate the vault view. However, I cannot login to the PDM client.

If anyone has any ideas I need the help. I’ve spent several hours on this over the last couple of days and I don’t seem to be making any progress.

We have a local server account set up on the server. As the vault view is being set up we log in to that account. I’m don’t remember when that has to happen and don’t recognize that step in the steps in this how to from MLC-CAD.

PDM isn’t supported on IPV6 networks. Make sure you have IPV4 enabled for your network card.

I think I did miss a step, or have something mis-configured.

disabling IPV6 seems to have made it happy!
