Solidworks 2025 SP2.0 Refreshing problems and BOM problem

Anyone else experiencing problems with refreshing and BOM tables in SW2025 sp2.0 ?
Especially with configurations. Sometimes parts just disappear from screen when I add a configuration in a table. And it is not just from the screen it disappears, as my assemblies than all throw errors as the part is not found.
Than I do need to go back to the part and refresh all manually with CTR-Q to get all back.
I also do have to do a lot of manual refreshing in assemblies in comparison to SW2024.

The BOM tables are not refreshing when I update an old drawing with a new configuration. Than I do need to delete the BOM and insert a new one. Refreshing will not solve the problem. I really do need to check these BOM tables for correct parts :frowning:

The problem is that for example component reference are shown as one component and not multiple instances no matter what options I select in the BOM configuration. After inserting a new BOM table this does work properly.

Another thing that is really annoying, when I have a BOM for a routing spool and select group pipes. All the valves will be grouped as well, so no component reference anymore. And I did check the valves are stated as valves in the routing database.
For example when I have 3 valves of the same size with references V1, V2, V3. The bom will state 3x valve V1 when I group the pipes.

Than also one very positive thing about this version, it does seem to crash a lot less here.

have you reviewed your bom settings. There are so many options there for configurations to show all configs as one part or different parts.
Then there is a rebuild for configurations that you should try instead of Ctrl-Q when making those kind of changes. I assume it was added for problems like you are experiencing.

Can you share some screens? I’d look at BOM settings as David stated. There is a setting that regroups all configurations as one, I believe if that setting is set then SolidWorks will only reflect the configuration of the oldest occurence.

BTW Force Rebuild All Configurations shortcut is SHIFT + CTRL + Q instead of the usual CTRL+Q

Here are 2 screenshots as example. 1st without pipes grouping and needing to hide items in BOM, but references are displayed ok (item 2-4 are the same parts with different configurations where 2 and 4 are the same config but different reference).

2nd with pipes gouped and SW also groups the valves. see item3 2x valve partno2933 reference V5. the reference V12 is no longer showed in the BOM.

I tried all options in the BOM control without any luck :frowning:

Be aware that some option in the BOM properties is applied only on creation not on the fly.
To be sure try to create a new BOM with the same settings applied and put beside the old one for comparison.
