Hello gentlemen,

I’m stuck again…. trying to make this transition and I’m having issues with the mitered ends not cutting.

What is the proper way to draw this part and be able to miter the flanges?

Don’t laugh at the pathfinder, that’s the only way i was able to make this :smile:

6” diameter, 12” tall cone, 2” upper flanges with 1” flanges turned in.

I usually draw it in quarters and mirror, this one was done whole.

This was lofted and i used multi-edge flanges to create the flanges.

The miter option is ticked.

Have you tried using the Mitered Flange feature? I think it should do what you want.

No worries, I’m playing with SW too, I’ll try your suggestion, thank you

Might be the “wrong” way to do it, but I’ve always had more predictable results editing the flange sketch. The down side is in this case they must be edited in order instead of all together.

edit: forgot to mention this goes for SE or SW, also Inventor, but that was ~10yrs ago so don’t know about that anymore.
