I have a chart on a old drawing that is in Excel so went to redo the chart with a Hole table, but when I select the holes in the order of the original chart it numbers them at random, is there a way to manually number them as the renumber chart has not been successful at making it correct to the old chart.
reference, note holes 14 thru 17 added:

Just curious, have you searched the SWX Help and Tutorials for this? I suspect you will find your answer there and will learn a few more things of value.
Yes, I have looked all over the Google universe and here as well.
Additionally, is there a way to edit a value and change it to a “-A” as the particular hole is charted based on length of the part.
I have tried to click on the cell as one does with a BOM, but will not allow me or is there a template of a howl chart that does from a specific version of SolidWorks?
I looked in the help files and no answers, hence me putting out the question. got a case into GoEngineer, but got told to make a case so maybe 2-3 days from now I will get a answer or not.
This shouldn’t be that difficult to fix or it is simply not an option to change it.
You should be able to manually adjust whatever you want.

And once you have manual selected, there are a couple of new items in the RMB menu:
You will have to play with it to see if it gets what you want.
Does the order really matter? We went through something similar when SolidWorks first introduced the hole table forever ago. Turns out mfg really didn’t care about the hole tags all that much, we were just used to doing it that way and no one likes change.
Yes that is tedious, but it works, FYI preselect the tag format otherwise it renumbers them so if letter or alpha-numbers or unique set that up first.
too bad you can’t edit the fields as stated i need to but charted letters in the chart, my work around was to type them out in excel and make a jpg and cut and paste them with Paint.
