If there are choices, please choose one that ranks according to number of correct answers over the number of likes or number of posts. Frederick_Law and I have no business being ranked anywhere near people like josh, artem, gupta9665, etc. like what happened in the old forum.
I completely agree with SPerman. We are not here to compete with each other but instead to help improve each other and hence every member on the forum is equal.
I see your points there but i also think that we should give recognition where it is due…
And it may also be one way to keep people active?
But, In term of priority this is definitely on the low side.
I also agree that there are some other ideas/suggestions that could benefit more user(eg: https://www.cadforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=641)
I know, I’ll just go through and say how much I like each one of you. I’ll assign a number 1-100, or maybe negative or imaginary numbers for Fred. It may not be really fair, but at least it’s equally unfair.
I was a moderator on a forum many years ago. It had a named ranking system (“beginner”, “intermediate”, etc.) Moderators could change a persons ranking to anything they want, and it wasn’t unusual for one of the regulars to have it changed based on something they said or did. I remember one guy got the tagline “special little snowflake” after commenting in a thread that his wife called him that.
