Looks my time with PDM comes to end as we have transitioned fully to Windchill. Definitely mixed feelings. PDM is better at managing SolidWorks CAD files. But Windchill does have some good PLM functions.
Best of luck. Windchill is capable of many things. Just make sure not to forget any steps.
How many years did it take to make the transition? You’ve been talking about moving to Windchill for years.
My organization is considering moving to Windchill mainly for ITAR compliance, PLM capabilities and multi CAD file type management. Would like to hear how the transition is going. Any huge issues?
Well we are a huge global org some some different regions have used it for a few years. We ahve one new global proudct on there and going about 4 years now. We just now spent about 10 months migrating all legacy parts, BOMs, ECOs, drawings, and models.
