Quadro K5000 with SOLIDWORKS 2025

We are dangerously close to upgrading from SW2017 to SW2025. Our workstation are a little old, and are equipped with Quadro K5000 video cards. The latest Nvidia driver is the 475.14 version. Is anyone out there running this card and/or driver with SOLIDWORKS 2025?

Certified and supported are two different things. On the same page where you grabbed your image, you will see this:

The Quadro K5000 appears on that list. I’m looking for anyone actually using the card with SW2025 to see if there are any quirks/gotchas.

I have the

we just upgraded from 17 to 24 this past year.
Some quirks are that manually dimensioning some drawings it get difficult to select some edges and arcs that you can select on one side of the drawing but not on the other of the same or similar part. Just need to find the right driver and things work ok.
I thought we were way behind… Rumer has it that we are going to jump to 2026 sp 0. That should be fun.

So based on that kind of jump if you keep going at that rate you’ll be using… what? 2035 in 3 years or less?! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

only if they do a new version for every service pack can we do that..

Ouch, that card is from 2012, and only 4gb of vram. Is upgrading not an option?

Been a big difference between my my older 2019 home desktop with an RTX 2070 super (8gb) and my new machine with an RTX 5070 TI.

We’ve got a big project on the horizon that will likely give us an opportunity to upgrade to new workstations. I just want to get us to Windows 11 with SW/PDM 2025 first, before the end of the year.
