I have an Ender 3, I modelled a part, sliced it in Cura, but, when I went to print it the printer basically just printed the skirt then stopped. I resliced the part in Orca, but, this time the printer printer the rafy then stopped again, I restarted the print, but, this time it stopped again but in a differant position.
What am I missing ?

I have run some files before but they came loose so had to stop the print.
I never changed anything in Cura, don’t know enough about the programme yet.
Don’t know anything about the wiring and no error code. Just that the latest prints the machine stopped in 2 differant places.
I will try another model, also will splice in another slicer as well.
I have an ender 5 that was doing that (not stock, I upgraded control board, power supply, extruder, etc.). Randomly it would stop on long prints…
I don’t know for sure what the problem was/is. But I put a fan pushing air over the the control board. I don’t know if it’s heat related, but it’s all I could think would cause random stops on long prints.
I haven’t done any super long prints since. But I haven’t had the problem since.
Maybe rig up a fan temporarily and see if the problem goes away?
The Internet was of no help when I searched trying to figure the problem out.
Though Frederick_Law would probably be able to help better. He builds these things from scratch. What do you think about my idea Fred?
