Hi Frederick

Haven’t seen you in a while.

Update 2026.2 brings some minor improvements to model state handling.

I’m around, in different name

I tested 2026.2 Beta.

Gonna do the update in a month or 2.

Overall 2026 is faster with MS. Hope Vault got faster too.

Well, the opinions of the rabbis on the performance of MS in Inventor 2026 are divided :upside_down_face:

I have 2023 and 2026 side by side and 2026 is faster.

2026 was not connected to Vault so that could be a factor.

Will test again with Vault 2026.

Models same as Configurations? I like the table UI, cleaner looking than SolidWorks. Looks like IV is still getting significant updates where as SW is lagging. Dassault is going all in cloud.

Similar to Config.

SW Config contain a lot more beside model parameters. ie color and bunch of other stuff.

iPart is IV Config.

ModelState do it differently. Not better or worse.

I like the MS UI on how to switch Config.
