How To Tag Someone?

Please move this to a “Forum How To” if you think we need one, or if there’s a more appropriate place for this question.
Does anyone know of a way to tag someone in a post such that they get a notification? I know if I’m quoted in something I’ve already posted, I get a notification up here:
But, I don’t know how to tag someone to bring their attention to a post.

Just type @ and then the name, and it pops up on a list you can select from. So mattpeneguy

Thanks Matt, works fine. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to try that. I was trying to select the name and copy and paste because that’s what I’m used to because over at the old forum everyone had their names listed 5 or 6 times from old accounts.

Just need a big glowing red notification at the top… It’s pretty easy to miss.

You can also do this manually if you wish, like that:

[…]users_name[/…]

just replace … with mention

Result:
