Help, I've fallen and I can't get up.... (settings questions)

So,

I changed something one day, and all of a sudden, when I select a face, the outline of the entire body highlights.

I’m sure this seemed like a great feature to someone, but to me, it’s dreadful.

Anyone have any idea what I toggled in v2023 to turn this on?

I should know better than to willy nilly toggle more than one setting in SolidWorks after all these years.

Any time I make a change to a setting, I save those settings. That way I always have a current backup when SW decides to randomly reset the UI.

Excellent idea.

Thee downside of this is you bring forward cruft that may or may not be the best configuration in a modern version.

Every now and again, I’ll clean out the settings and start anew.
