There’s a lot of SW and PDM that don’t play well together, things that were just never finished, but I’m convinced it’s not because the PDM dev team isn’t trying, there’s other road-block.
Our hard paid PDM maintenance dollars is going to the 3dx coffers. Really sucks that we don’t get much new functionality, just a few small items and a new version to stay current with the latest Solidworks version.

the other day I put our Vault DB in sql 2017 compatibility mode and the folder browsing speed got a lot better for folders with over 1000 files!
I found the tip in the KB and tried on our vault even if it is supposed to run on sql 2022 and sw 2024 soon

Company layoffs this week and next, 25% headcount reduction…even though the executives just had a town hall and said everything was good. Hope I make it through. 
Jersey Mike’s gave me the wrong order at lunch today. I wasn’t excited about pepperoni on a chicken sandwich, but at least, I thought, I would get lunch.
What I didn’t realize, is that “Hot Honey Sauce” = battery acid. I had a bite in my mouth just long enough to spit it out, and 7 hours later my tongue is still numb, and I am still hungry.
I seriously thought I was the victim of a disgruntled employee, but it turns out this is a real sandwich.
Hate people who send an image of text. If they could just send text then I could copy and paste it into the spreadsheet or whatever. But no, I have to type it.
i.e. New Outlook. It is missing much of the functionality of Old Outlook, but MS is doing everything it can to force users to New Outlook.
Thankfully there is still a way to revert back to the Old Outlook. (At this point in time anyway).
I can’t stand the new one. Are they implying that older generations of users can handle the complexity of more tools than the new generation?

The “New Outlook” is the web version wrapped in a web browser that looks like an app. They will eventually kill the OS specific versions and only have to maintain the web based one. (At least that is how it has been described to me by our IT guy.)
The problem is (like another company we know) they need us beta testing, and they want to force the change as quickly as possible, so they release something that is only halfway where it needs to be.
What happened to being able to browse “my documents” without extra clicks?
Maybe y’all are getting tired of me complaining about drawings I see from outside sources, but I’m looking at one right now that calls for a rebar stirrup (an inverted V-shape) to be 25-1/16" wide at the bottom.
This is what happens when you have someone creating drawings who doesn’t have any practical experience, and doesn’t understand the fabrication or construction process involved. I make it a practice to never have the denominator in a dimension involving concrete or rebar smaller than 4.

There is no need for that kind of precision, and even if there was, it would be difficult to bend rebar to a 1/8" tolerance, much less 1/16". The same is true for concrete.

I started my career working in a shipyard.
It was beaten into us not to dimension anything below 1/4" as it was fruitless.
Many times we were lucky to get 1/2".
