This has happened before and I usually just ignore as it doesn’t effect what I am working on, but I had a lets say 20 feature part all with their own sketches
Now I am editing sketch 15 of feature 15 and all of a sudden the file rolls back to feature 3 and features 3-15 are gone from view.
How did I toggle this or make it happen?
How to toggle it back or get back 3-15 features while editing the sketch?
Only way I have found is rebuilding the sketch, which when I do, I have to roll back to sketch 15 before I can re-edit.
Hi JMOS,
If drafts after 15 are linked to drafts 15 and earlier, you may run into problems.
Do drafts after 15 get deleted or become inactive?
can you upload a file or a screenshot?
SW still keeps track of where the sketches were created before they were used in features. The rollback is probably rolling back to the original sketch position in the tree.
Try moving the rollback bar to between the feature and the subordinate sketch and see where it sits.
I really can’t post a screen shot, but to say your editing step 15 and suddenly the rollback goes all the way up to 3 so any feature between the 3-15 are gone, yet somehow I am still editing 15 and if you are trying to reference a feature lets say step 5 it no longer exists so I rebuild and re-roll back to 15 and start on again.
next time it happens I will see if I can remember to take a screen shot and try messing with the rollback line.
well it happened again the red line indicates the sketch (147) I am in and the orange was where I had the part rolled back to before I went to drag a center point with detach with drag on and the sketch 10 was shown so I will play how this happens?

Jim
