I can’t figure out how to delete relationships in a sketch (orderd mode). I have a some dangling relationships I want to delete. Obviously I can delete and redraw the line.
The relationships in SE are visualized graphically as “Handles” on the Sketch and are also selected that way. It appears that you may have their display turned off, so you can toggle the Relationship Handles “on” to see and select them.
Yes, I see with the relationships switched on and hovering over them the mouse cursor appears changes after about 1 sec. Right click and the quick view brings up the list of relationships. If I then select one to delete the list closes immediately. This is very inconvenient. One has to go through the selection process again. Is there a way to pin the list open or display al the sketch relationships together?
I can see why it might be nice to pin that little window, but I’m guessing only if there’s a whole pile of relations that you’re deleting from one element?
There are other options other than using QuickPick. You can click on the handles graphically using the CTRL key to select multiples, you can Fence them (use the Select filters prevent other objects getting selected), or you can use SmartSelect to select all with matching attributes such as Type (all Connect relationships for instance).
Well say you are trying to figure out what is locking a sketch in place. Even on a rectangle there are quite a lot of relationships. If a couple of them are constrained to an external point or edge that takes time to find (at least at my amateurish level).
If you hover over the relationships in QuickPick, it will highlight on the screen the relationship solid and the elements it is connected to dashed. This will help you identify what relationships are controlling what elements.
