Drawing dimensions becoming dangling on rebuild

Well, this is definitely a new one for me. I copied a sheet in a drawing, deleted the dimensions I don’t need, and flipped from a front view to a back view, no problem. However, on rebuild, the 2 dimensions I kept became dangling. I reattatched them, and all was fine. Until, again, they became dangling on rebuild. My next step was deleting the dimensions and reinserting them, and I thought that would definitely fix it. No dice. No matter what i’ve tried, the dimensions become dangling on rebuild. Other new dimensions I inserted do not do this, though they are attatched to centerlines and are driven instead of driving. Anyone have any advice?

What entities are the dimensions attached to?
Are all the dimensions breaking or just a few specific ones?
What happens when you create a new drawing view of the same part?
Can you post a screenshot, or better yet, your files?

I attached the dimensions to straight edges but it would only let me reattach to vertices or endpoints. Reattaching also made the dimensions invisible, which was another weird thing. I tried adding a new dimension to the view to see what would happen, and sure enough, it did the same. Strangely though, it only happened when I set it to a limit tolerance. The original 2 dimensions in question are also limit tolerances, so it must be something about that. Trying a new view now, the dimensions are going into a section, none of the dimensions on my back view are dangling on rebuild. Either to do with the section view or the limit tolerances, will apply a limit to the back and see if it does anything funky.

Well, my solidworks went and crashed when I tried to box select the ones I had reattached that went invisible, and it crashed. I’m having no problems now so i’m thinking it must’ve been some weird, hopefully one-off glitch
