I am baffled by the idea that an entertainment company thinks entertaining their customers shouldn’t be the top priority.
You know better than that. They are a corp, their priority is share holders, which should mean they prioritize entertaining their customers. But I believe they are incompetent as story tellers and making content. I’m sure there are some there that are talented, but the people in charge don’t know how to recognize that.
Going back to Mandalorian, there are glimpses of great stories in there, interspersed with filler and wtf episodes. Boba Fett was neutered in its entirety. And Obi Wan, if you just edit out all of the stuff not involving Obi Wan, leaves you with a much better story.

I was hoping for some Matrix actions.
I was listening to an interview with the guy who took Starbucks from a place that sells beans to what it is today. He said his philosophy was to take care of the employees, and make sure the customers were satisfied. He felt like if he did that, the stock price would take care of itself. I wish more companies today had that attitude.
