Couple of thoughts

Thanks, Jim in advance. Greatly appreciate your efforts.

Couple of things:

  1. https://cadmunity.com gives a Cloudflare error 526, “Invalid SSL certificate”. Perhaps you could do a forward from there to https://forums.cadmunity.com?
  2. Is it possible to forward https://www.cadforum.net/ to https://forums.cadmunity.com?

Thanks

chris

Item 1 is on my list. There are actually Cloudfare redirect rules already in place to forward cadmunity.com and www.cadmunity.com to forum.cadmunity.com. However, the discourse SSL certificate is only set up for the forum.cadmunity.com domain, hence the 526 (Invalid SSL certificate) error. To fix it will require rebuilding/restarting the Discourse image, which isn’t a big deal, but it’s better to do it during off-peak or weekend hours.

Item 2 is a @matt thing. I don’t control the cadforum.net domain, so he would have to have his web server redirect to here.

Yeah, I think I can get #2 done. My former host and I had a bit of a screaming match a month ago, but maybe they’ve forgotten some of the names I called them. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I’ll work on it.

Got this at work:

well, good news and bad news. Dezignstuff.com now redirects to the new forum, but CADForum.net will not because my former host does not serve that domain any longer. Long, uninteresting story.

Not on my computer. I just get a warning that the site has some sort of problem.

Our firewall/Antivirus throws an error every now and then because it’s a new domain, it should resolve itself once the domain hits the “one month” mark. The message you get is because of the redirection.

The SSL certificate has been updated to include cadmunity.com and www.cadmunity.com so those now redirect to the forum without errors.
