User was deleted so I became the original post. It was a bot posting multiple links to different (most likely) fraudulent websites that seemed to reference cannabis. I didn’t click on any of them though.

Yeah, I was too slow. Not sure how that one got through. It was a first post, yet it was able to post without going into moderation… Didn’t have any of the usual bot signs. Have to check the logs. Too early in the AM for looking at blog logs. Deepak reported it first, so it must have been posted late at night.
I can see from the logs that they went through a couple dozen IP addresses until they found one that hasn’t been banned by the service I use to root out bad IPs.
Geez, these things seem to be getting rather complex at finding “open spaces” to leak through.
And yet, we cannot navigate the 3DSWAMP!
Maybe the 3DSwamp strategy is to have so many leaks that the bots don’t get through 
Thank you matt for taking care of the spam. Is there anyway we can move the post to moderation mode and it is not visible to others until moderated? This is similar to what used to happen in SW old forums.
Yeah, there’s a way to do that, but I’d have to take some steps that I’m not ready to take just yet. I just went ahead and deleted the user and any post he made. Unfortunately, AlexLachance also posted, so that part survived, and now we are calling attention to the thing I’m desperately eager to avoid giving any attention to.
It is not my intention to make the 3DSWamp look bad. They’ve done a great job all on their own, I don’t have to take any credit.
You can delete the thread directly I am pretty sure if I recall my moderating days.
But you have god privileges with this site. Can you not just delete this thread completely or rename it to something like “This is what happens when we respond to a Spam thread before the bot is deleted”? ><

I don’t know, the way I read this post now, is that to be a CAD Admin, I need to chill out by smoking some weed, and AlexLachance is now a supplier.
