Can transitions be deleted if not needed?

we have some transition that rolls back the cad file state from “approved” to “ready for approval”, but without resetting the approval variables counter etc.
I do not know why the previous admin thought it was a good idea, but I have not recalling of that transition been used before and it could make more harm then good imho.

Is it safe to delete it?
Is some error supposed to warn me about files using this transition?

there are other normal transitions that connect the same starting and goal states, so there is a zero risk of files being stuck in the middle.

I will check also on my test server, but looking for an opinion here.

Deleting a transition is not an issue unless you have add-ins that utilize them. They are still in the DB but just flagged as deleted so the file history is intact.

You can’t delete states that has had files in them currently or in their history. Although you can Archive them now in 2023. I used to just set them off to side.
