I’m on a laptop with 1366x768 res, but still, even on larger monitors, it’s just inefficient use of space 
Lots of webpages do these “floating” headers and footers these days, and it’s annoying as heck. I mean hell, how often do we need that header when we’re in the middle of the page, especially when it’s a single key press (home) away? As for footer, I don’t remember the last time I ever needed anything from it…
