Any smart way to reduce lines in a big assy drawing?

I probably know the answer, that is defeaure the model and force my engineers to better design their 3d data…but that aside we have this machinery composed by a lot of aluminum frames with a lot of edges, that show into the drawing views even with tangent edges turned off.

I am pondering a not so good way to cope with the issueas the draeing deadline is too close to remake the whole thing from scratch.

1 delete the lines from the pdf :joy:

2 make a virtual part in the top assy and put some flat surface to brutally hide unwanted edges.

The drawing is too heavy and it must be remade from bottom to top imho as it is full of data made with a 10+yeas old template with bugged sw and too many configurations, sections too many subassies. it takes 10 minutes to load one sheet and deleting lines from a view is painfully slow as even the zoom is sluggish.

Can you add a small radius to the sharp edges so they become tangent edges that disappear?

Hide tangent edge. Set DisplayState to hide parts.

Tangent edges are already hidden.
It is a 17,000 component top assy drawing btw

I think Jim’s suggestion of adding the fillets to the edges (or editing the sketches so the faces are tangent) will be your best alternative.
