Yeah, because what could possibly go wrong hanging out around a spinning, unguarded 6" diameter slippery tube that you have to drop a 500lb, 20ft length of pipe onto that is attempting to find a pocket of flammable material that is under pressure…Seems perfectly safe to me 
Hey, at least you’ll be prepared in case there is an impending asteroid strike and they need to fly you to said asteroid to drill a hole, to plant a nuke, and thus save the world.
