When sketching 3 point rectangles, this option exposes itself AFTER drawing the rectangle, but only applies to subsequent rectangles. Is there a way to expose the option before, or get it to apply to the rectangle just drawn? The workflow now is to draw a rectangle, click ‘from midpoints’, draw another rectangle, and then delete the first. It is sort of trivial, but I would like to know if there is a way

It is there as soon as I select 3 point rectangles. Unless I misunderstood your question. See video clip.
What release are you running? I’m running 2024sp2, and this is what I get as soon as I activate the 3-point rectangle:

It is there, the “3 point rectangle” feature toggles the one next to it, notice the slight difference between the images
Try picking the Center rectangle
Okay, seeing Josh say this makes me doubt what I just said, this could be a language thing on my end lol
There’s an option in the dropdown menu in the CommandManager:

3 point CENTER rectangles. I am not sure why AlexLachance has trouble reading my mind.
You guys are getting different behavior than me. I thought it might be related to use of the command manager, where I am using the sketch square flyout off my sketch shortcut key, but that isn’t it. If I select center rectangle or 3 point center rectangle, the options do not appear until I have drawn a rectangle.
Oddly, if I select Corner Rectangle or 3 point Corner Rectangle, and then select the “Add construction lines”, the options appear, although the square drawn behaves as if it were a regular Corner Rectangle or 3 point Corner Rectangle.
Thanks all for checking.
I just found out you can “Add Constuction Lines” in a Parallelogram. Kind of fun to play with. You get different behavior dragging a corner around between from corners and from midpoints.
