New install of Solidworks 2024 and for some reason the weld profiles do not show even though the path is correct:
yet when I have a part with geometry in it all of a sudden it works so what changed?

This is always fun. Did you happen to save out the weld profiles to another location before the new install?
the problem could be that you are still in a sketch?
once out of the sketch things become available.
if you need more of the weld profiles here is where the location is for the standards

A sketch is required in order for them to not be grayed out.
Empty part: Weldment is not grayed out but “structural member” is
