Well,

Since my post above, I’ve read about half of the Agatha Christie Poirot novels.

I’ll admit it, the first one was quite the challenge.

What I’m finding, as I’m progressing through some 33 of these, is my reading comprehension and what I retain has increased measurably.

I’ve also noticed that my mental processes for other activities has improved as well.

Thank you for the recommendation (The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel.) A very entertaining read, and a history lesson wrapped in a murder mystery. (Which is about the only way I like a history lesson.)
