I take it most folks have come here and gotten straight to foruming without saying helloā€¦ I, for one, am glad that I stumbled upon this group after the 3dExperience migration. It looks like things are going pretty well and Iā€™m looking forward to joining the discussion. Maybe Iā€™ll have to copy some of my questions from the SolidWorks subreddit over here and see if I can get any more than the zero responses Iā€™ve gotten over there so far. ---

Most users here came from CADForum.net when it was retired. They went to CADForum.net when the old SOLIDWORKS forums were retired. So you skipped a step. Unless you were a CADForum.net member. If so, you should have received a couple of emails a few months back notifying you about this place, but some emails didnā€™t go through. If you had a CADForum.net account, let me know and I can merge this account with it. If you never had a CADForum.net account, then welcome. And yes, feel free to copy/paste any questions you had on Reddit. We are very knowledgeable bunch and like answering questions. ---

Welcome, you should get a response to most questions, unless we just donā€™t know. Reddit seems to be full of ā€œkidsā€ trying to learn SolidWorks and get help with their homework. ---

Iā€™m glad to see that [CADForum.Net](http://CADForum.Net) has found a new home, and that all the stuff from there (at least what Iā€™ve seen so far) made it to this website! Shortly after the I found cadforum & had a powermill forum added, we had a (suspicious) fire at my old place, and then went out of business. By the time I landed a new job, cadforum was goneā€¦ I was crushed. It was nice to be in a community made by users for users. it had the old Delcam forum feel to it. Looking forward to trying to reignite interest in the PowerMill forum here, and continuing to learn more on the Solidworks macro forum. ---
