Answer

SOLIDWORKS® 2021 expanded the newly redesigned Graphics Performance Pipeline render engine

from parts and assemblies to include drawings.

In most cases, this leads to a dramatic improvement of the pan and zoom functionality when working in the SOLIDWORKS drawing environment.

Some specific cases experience a loss in performance when using the new system compared to the legacy system.

To address these cases, download and install the attached file.

HotFix_1226641_2021SP05.1.exe

This hotfix applies only to SOLIDWORKS 2021 SP 5.1. You cannot use this hotfix with any other SOLIDWORKS 2021 service pack.

This issue is resolved in SOLIDWORKS 2022 SP1 and later versions of the SOLIDWORKS software.[/quote]

Download the patch from customer portal (requires subscription)

Just to make the subscription bit clear

It doesn’t require current subscription it requires you had, at the time, subscription for solidworks 2021 sp5.1 when it was released.

Ah, yes, the rendering pipeline..

I’ve looked at the download/update/hotfix pages and I can not find HotFix_1226641_2021SP05.1.exe?
Anyone have a link or know where it is?
Thanks.

Nevermind… I located it!
