The only thing I can think of is that I am using the same part in two different subassemblies and
the last one evaluated “WINS” so to speak

For I am using the Flexible coupling, and the other “Yellow” items above, in two diff assemblies.
But as for the clamp
I know that the SW BOM Qty is right I need 20 total
but I suppressed one Sub assembly that has 5 in it
the macro counts 25
something is not right.
Old thread but I have tried to figure out little bit the same problem…why excluding from bom is not working…What I found is that ALL models need to be fully resolved, then it MIGHT work. So, there can be no lightweight or anything in use. Can’t make it to work thought.
EDIT, this seem to work (at least for me):
If swComp.ExcludeFromBOM = 1 Then (VBA, for vb.net nothing seems to work :-()
