So I managed to lock myself out of the SolidWorks account that I use to read the forum stuff.
I use SolidWorks at work inside a protected enclave. Don’t have the slightest idea who the VAR is, but I could probably figure it out if I tried.
Shouldn’t have to, right? Just reset the account.
Yeah, no, I’ve now been through three different entities and they all want to know the serial number of my seat of SolidWorks, which I’m definitely not going to even look for.
So you forgot your password. You won’t ask your internal support for help. You can’t be bothered to find out who your VAR is, or even to look up your SN, but somehow DSS is the bad guy here?
I cannot discuss any of the details of our system, or it’s installation with anyone outside of the installation.
I registered a user account outside of any SolidWorks commercial relationship to be able to look stuff up online. You don’t need to be a customer to register for an account.
I managed to lock myself out of the account. It probably has something to do with the weird way the IT group has set up this internet access.
Allegedly the account has been unlocked. Unfortunately at this juncture, I have no idea what the password is. Don’t know which of my attempts it accepted.
Trying to reset my password results in no response.
I’ll just open a new account using a different e-mail address.
