I found a video of me trying to keep up with all the ways custom properties and data card variables and $PRP… on drawings can go wrong.

Frustration comes and goes. Mostly weary of the 1k little cuts.
Today is putting the Thickness, Material and Weight custom properties back into a sheet metal files so they show up on print. I don’t know if they’re just older and the templates were from early on (we’ve changed them a few times during lift off) or user was fixing, or… Then there’s another config so I have to add them to the other config too, unless there’s a way to update all configs at the same time, when adding custom properties.
bnemec You should try out Windchill.
I use a program for my custom properties, but I’ve seen plenty of users who do use them get away with it just fine. If I’m not mistaken Roasted By John uses them extensively
Yeah I got a few macros that I used to use (pre - Fusion 360)

Put custom property in the config side without a config and watch someone else try to change the property in drawing.
