I’m trying to add some screws to my assembly. I need to right-click and Select Other to choose the holes for my mates. But when I right-click, nothing happens. Any idea why that is? I have to spin the model and zoom in so I can see the edge of the hole and select it that way.
This happens a lot when I’m trying to Copy With Mates, and not as much when I’m just trying to do new mates. At first I thought there was some trick I didn’t know, but now I see it’s rather erratic, so I’m going to guess it’s not intended functionality. What do you think?
I can’t upload anything to this site. Files or screenshots.
But the screenshot would show a pointer-cursor with a little icon of a mouse, with the right button in blue. And when I click the RMB, nothing happens.
It’s because the “Copy with mates” command has a right click to go to the next step option programmed in. Press the “alt” key with your mouse cursor over the faces you want to hide. You should be able to get down to the hole face.
Actually, when I try to upload an avatar, it tells me “Sorry, you don’t have permission to visit this site.” That’s my company’s internet policy. The other situations I get the HTTP error.
No, I don’t. I wonder if I could get help with my issue if I did…
I don’t think I would bother them, just so I could upload an avatar. Though I’m not sure if the http error thing is related to that, or a separate issue.
If it’s on your end, there’s nothing I can do. I wish browsers had a plain english “debug” button that would show you which server along the chain is sending the message. No settings here have changed in weeks. You should be able to upload attachments with the full editor, and even paste clipboard images directly into the text window.
…ya know,..everyone will try to show some workaround here..but the reality is..the cursor proximity should provide a reasonable selection set…and it does NOT. SW Corp needs to fix it!..sorry but it’s been effn years and nothing has friggin changed😡
