The really funny thing is that the old command, array classic had a nice command box that would pop up to allow you to pick what type and how you wanted to do the array
The newer command is all command line, so it’s really a regression
I recall only the command prompt that asked you type spacing and how many. Nothing that fancy.
iirc some command, at least for dwg files, is associative to the geometry and let you edit it (like blocks and arrays, but it is was a very long time since I used acad). Imho a software should preserve legacy features for backwards compatibility and stability and introduce new ones separately.
